Warcraft 3 World Editor

Warcraft III's storyline was clearly continued in World of Warcraft, and as an MMO, making another Warcraft game like the originals (however fun) would be pointless. Going from the more detailed graphics, back to less-detailed, unimpressive graphics would stop some die-hard gamers from playing, and then, there's the storyline. I will now explain what each part of the trigger editor means. Do Nothing - Self Explanatory Comment - Allows you to post anything you wish for others to see when looking at the trigger editor. Wait - Allows you to put a certain duration of wait (In Real Time) in a trigger function. Wait (Game-Time) - Allows you to do the same, only it runs on game-time seconds rather then real time. Category: Warcraft 3 - Frozen Throne Description: World Editor File size: 56 Kb File date: 17:46 File version: 1, 0, 0, 1 Internal name: World Editor. The World Editor should be working. Extra Notes that might help you: -If you have many custom maps, you may want to save them in another folder before uninstallation.Try the World Editor before you try connecting to Battle.net after uninstallation.Make sure you have no other programs on that may interfere with WcIII's performance.

As a map creator of Warcraft III, I hope that the new Editor in “Warcraft 3: Reforged” is similar to the current one in use, (ofc with improvements but largely the same) because relatively ‘simplistic’ and easy to use.
Unlike (Personal opinion) the Sc2 editor which is convoluted and relatively hard to use.

I also hope that it accepts the same file format as the original, such as blp, mdx, etc (ofc with the exception of map files) so the same files may be used, as there some well made/detailed models made for War3 and it would be unfortunate if they could no longer be utilized in the re-mastered edition.
Any thoughts? Or Ideas?

Warcraft 3 world editor not opening

The Warcraft III World Editor is the built-in level editor for the real-time strategy game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion set Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Incorporating the core mechanics of the level editor of Blizzard Entertainment's previous strategy game StarCraft, it allows users to create and customize their own maps with a high level of detail and flexibility.[1][2] The editor has been used in creating several popular custom maps, including Defense of the Ancients.[3][4] The level editor was substantially improved for The Frozen Throne and allowed users to create cut scenes supporting voice-overs.[5] Advanced features of the editor allow for custom models, tilesets and icons. The editor also supports Blizzard's JASS scripting language for programming complex actions otherwise not supported by the graphical interface.

Modules[edit]

Editor

The editor is divided into different modules that allow the user to customize different features of a map.

  • The Terrain Editor allows the user to edit the map terrain, add water and trees, and place player units and buildings with the help of the tool palette.
  • The Object Editor allows the user to modify most attributes of placeable objects in the game, such as the appearance and abilities of units, buildings and items. It also allows the user to create custom objects based on existing ones.
  • The Trigger Editor allows users to create triggers that fire when certain events occur in the game and import their own JASS code.
  • The Import Manager allows the user to import custom models, textures, minimaps, loading-screens and sounds into a map.
  • The AI Editor allows the user to create custom AI scripts for computer players.
  • The Campaign Editor allows the user to create custom campaigns by combining maps saved in the computer. This editor features an object editor in it as well, so multiple maps can use the same units.
